GridTalkie is back!

In service with Third Fleet since 2016, the GridTalkie communications system has recently been transferred from Rez Gray to Nikoli Nicholls, making it possible to solve the problems GridTalkie was having across the board since late 2019. Third Fleet's three GridTalkie systems were recently upgraded and the new terminals are now functional and in place at our stations and facilities.

The Third Fleet sets, or packs, are as follows:
1. Third Fleet 01 - With specific channels for NFDT Blue Angels and NFWS Topgun
2. Third Fleet 02 - With two specific channels for missions

Our reserve pack is at the moment assigned to SLNFC:
3. SLNFC - With two specific channels for Navy and Marines

All three systems are paired and communicate with each other using the preset Tuner A.

Complete reference guide and SL US Navy Third Fleet GridTalkie protocols are available in permanence on the right column of this weblog as a special section. The old GridTalkie page will be posted to the date of publishing, where it will remain available for historical record purposes (see here). It refers to operation protocols in practice from 2017 to 2019.

Updates are being worked on concerning the GridTalkie Classes, the Blue Angels, Topgun and USNTPS specific protocols and other sections of this weblog that concern GridTalkie operation.
The rundown of all these updates and links to them wll be posted on the new GridTalkie procedures page as they roll out. You will also find on that page the exact location of all active Third Fleet GridTalkie terminals with the respective SLURS.

We would like to thank Nikoli Nicholls for working closely with Third Fleet to update our old systems and bring them up to 2020 standards.
